About the Club
Homestead Poker Club brings together players from across Kerikeri and the Far North for a relaxed Thursday night of Texas Hold'em at one of the Bay of Islands' most-loved local pubs. Whether you're a seasoned shark or still learning the river, there's a seat at our table.
No dress code. No pretension. Just good poker, good company, cold drinks, and the Homestead's famous bistro meals on the side.
The world's most popular format. Friendly stakes, proper poker — whether you're chasing your first flush or defending the title.
The Homestead bistro serves meals from 5–8pm Monday to Thursday. Fuel up before cards or order between hands.
New players get a proper welcome. We play the player, not just the cards — competitive but always good-natured.
Results tracked across the season. Points, bragging rights, and a trophy for the Homestead champion.
Schedule
We run every Thursday night at the Homestead. Rock up from 6:30 pm to grab a drink and pick your seat — cards in the air at 7:00 pm sharp.
The Venue
A proper local pub in the heart of Kerikeri — big screens, TAB, pool tables, dart boards, a garden bar, and one of the best bistros in Northland. Plenty of parking and a courtesy van if you want to leave the car at home.
New Players
Just show up to the Homestead any Thursday from 6:30 pm. Tell the dealer it's your first night and someone will walk you through the format. Buy-in details on the night — always very reasonable for a few hours of good entertainment.
